Rules of Ouija Board Ownership (yes, there are rules for these too):
1. Place the Ouija Board upon the knees of two persons, lady and gentleman preferred, with the Planchette upon the Board.
2. Place the fingers lightly but firmly, without pressure, upon the Planchette so as to allow it to move easily and freely.
3. In from one to five minutes the Planchette will commence to move, at first slowly, then faster, and will be then able to talk or answer questions, which it will do rapidly by touching the printed words or the letters necessary to form words and sentences with the foreleg or pointer.
4. Care should be taken that one person only should ask questions at a time, so as to avoid confusion, and the questions should be put plainly and accurately.
5. To obtain the best results it is important that the persons present should concentrate their minds upon the matter in question and avoid other topics.
6. Have no one at the Planchette who will not sit seriously and respectfully. If you use it in a frivolous spirit, asking ridiculous questions, laughing over it, you naturally get undeveloped influences around you.
7. Always say "Goodbye" at the end of your session. Mischievous or negative ghosts will refuse to say Goodbye. This is like a stubborn child refusing to leave the store until you get them candy. You take the kid out of the store just like you put the Planchette down to Goodbye. This ends the session and sets your mind to shutting that door opened from the other side.
8. Never use the Ouija Board in your home. The negative energy from bad ghosts can affect you. You're at rest and want to feel comfortable in your home, a place where you're most vulnerable. The last thing you want is negative energy swirling about, affecting your mood, causing problems in your family, and nightmares while you sleep.
9. Your Ouija Board is not a toy.
10. Keep your pets away from your Ouija Board.
11. Parents: Only you know for sure if your children are responsible enough to follow the Rules of Ouija Board Ownership.
12. One Final Note: Our Ouija Boards are sold for amusement use only. All liability is assumed in full by the purchaser.
